Hello OKDems PCOs, E-board members, and Party Member Activists,
Congratulations are in order for all our OKDems organizers, PCOs, and volunteers. Perusing the data from the August 7th primary shows that we are one of the top ten counties in Washington State; we turned out 51% of the voters, outpacing the statewide average of 40% and far exceeding our historical average of 31%. Our next goal is to see if we can improve on that even more in the November general election. Then we can say with pride that we are consistently performing way above average.
As you probably already know, high voter turnout always favors Democrats. Our on going to efforts to register voters (especially young people, Native Americans and Latinos) combined with GOTV activities, door belling, canvassing, and public events have all contributed to our success. If we keep pushing forward and keep building momentum, we can permanently change the politics of Eastern Washington from narrow conservatism to vibrant, inclusive progressivism.
“Forward ever, backward never.”
